Top Drop Vancouver Wine Event

This week Top Drop Vancouver launched The Main Event, a terroir-focussed event for wine, beer and food industry insiders and enthusiasts. As the event’s official wine app, Quini got front row seats to the festivities. And what great seats they were! I mean really, how could you go wrong with such an impressive line-up?

The stellar array of wineries, breweries, cured meats, artisan cheeses, and an oyster bar, was enjoyed by a who’s who in the wine world (and the rest of us who love everything that is wine!) Co-founders Kurtis Kolt and Jeff Curry hit a home run, and were great about spreading the word about Quini before the event so attendees could get right to tasting as soon as they walked in the door.

It wasn’t long before we started to see the wine reviews come in. Comparing tasting notes with one another was an instant hit, but guests also appreciated that they had apples to apples comparisons of all the wines they tasted. Before long, their tasting profiles started to reflect their own unique palate and Quini could make personalized wine recommendations and surface like-minded wine enthusiasts to follow. We also got a chance to showcase the unique Quini wine tasting market data solutions for restaurants, wine agencies, wineries, and wine educators. The conversations that followed with these experts and the relationships that were forged were invaluable.

The quickly lauded two-day event also included the Top Drop Dinner Party and Top Drop Stories, with all proceeds going to the BC Hospitality Foundation. Quini was proud to be a part of it, and looks forward to its return next year.
