VANCOUVER, BC – August 17, 2018 – Quini® (www.quiniwine.com), the leader in wine tasting data and technology solutions today announced that its wine tasting event platform, QUINI SOMM™, will power the consumer wine tasting and rating experience at Cabfest 2018 (https://www.cabfest.com).

The event, held annually, is San Francisco’s premier wine festival celebrating Cabernet Sauvignon. The festival will welcome more than 400 wine enthusiasts daily this year, at the Westfield San Francisco Centre in California, Under the Dome space, on August 18 and 19.

Event attendees will be able to review and rate the wines poured at the fest, using Quini on their smartphones, by going to the Cabfest website at www.cabfest.com/wines. Without having to download any apps from the app store. Attendees will also be able to access the wine list directly, by scanning an event QR Code that will be featured throughout the event.

Users can get familiar with Quini, in advance, by watching this video: https://youtu.be/9ucG4A0-hmw

Users’ tasting history and taste profiles will be stored on their phones to help them recall their show favourites. Tasters will also be able to share their wine tasting notes on social media, as they go about their tasting journey.

“We are excited to partner with Cabfest and to see Quini chosen yet again to power the wine tasting experience at a major wine consumer event in the United States,” said Roger Noujeim, Quini’s CEO.

“Cabfest has been known to offer to the wine consumer a unique environment where they can enjoy some of the very best U.S. Cabernet products and brands,” said Carlo Niboli, Cabfest’s founder and event director. “The addition of Quini will make the experience this year more memorable, educational and beneficial for everyone involved. Tasters will learn how to approach wine tasting more methodically, and they’ll have an easy and fun way to remember their show favourites. The wineries will also get a unique opportunity to access real market feedback, after the festival.”

Added Noujeim: “Within our stringent privacy policy, the deep, rich data that wine consumers will share, become a true goldmine that can greatly benefit the wineries and the consumer. As a data solutions company, we pride ourselves on helping wine producers and retailers to capture and analyze unique consumer sensory and behavior data in near real-time. An effort that otherwise costs tens of thousands of dollars, and weeks or months, using traditional research methods such as focus groups and surveys.”
